Much needed updates!

I just don't know where the time has gone. It has been the busiest month ever! I decided to go to BYU for grad school after I received a generous scholarship for the first year! I am so excited...and nervous because I start on Wednesday! I got to walk for graduation on Friday, and that was really exciting as well. My family drove up, and Jeff's parents and one of his brothers came down. It was a really nice day. Jeff and I had the opportunity to go to San Francisco a little over a week ago with a couple of our really good friends. We had so much fun!! We left Brooklynn with his family. I am in love with that place now. We were there for 3 days and barely stopped to catch our breath. Thursday, we got in about 9:30. We drove down to San Jose because we wanted to visit the Winchester House. I had never heard of it before, but it was really cool. This lady...Mrs. Winchester...believed that her house was haunted by the ghosts of people who were killed by the Winchester Rifle. So she built this house that she planned to never finish and kept building on it until she died. It is 24,000 sguare feet! We only went through about 100 of the rooms. She built staircases that went no where, as well as doors that opened up to walls and windows over walls. She was apparently trying to confuse the ghosts. She was about 4'10" and had bad knees so half of the stairs in the house are "minirisers," and they are about 2 inches tall, so you have to take like 3 at a time for a normal step. I'll try to put up some pictures. It was just a really neat house. While down there, we walked through some shops like Gucci and other places we could never ever afford, but it was fun and beautiful.
The next day, we walked around Fisherman's Warf at pier 39 and did some shopping and sightseeing. We started walking through downtown, thinking we could walk to the Golden Gate Bridge, but soon realized it was a lot farther than we thought. We did stop by Ghiradelli Square and get some of their ice cream! YUM! And then took the bus to the bridge. This was the one thing I really wanted to see. We walked across the bridge and back, and I loved every minute of that! We wore out my friend Kara, as she is 7 months pregnant!
The next day we toured Alcatraz and visited the WW2 ships that are docked at Fisherman's Warf. We also shopped at Ross, because it was the only place we could afford and it was 3 levels! Can you imagine the deals we found there? Oh man, it was exciting! Later that night, we walked thru Chinatown, but didn't really get anything except Jeff got some $2 tshirts. They do not bargain with you even a little. They wouldn't even knock of 15 cents. It was crazy. We didn't stay there too long before going back to the hotel. And as much as I would have loved to stay in SF longer, we were exhausted by Sunday morning. It was the perfect time to go home!
This past week, I tried to get everything organized and ready before starting school. I still have a couple more things to do, but I'm waiting for Brookie to wake up. Oh, and by the way, she is totally walking! I will post a video. She is walking everywhere now! I can't believe it. That also means that she tears my house apart in about 5 minutes. I can't keep up with her anymore hehe. But she is cuter than ever. I am going to miss her when I go to school. That is about all that is new with us for now! I'll post some pictures soon hopefully!

Hey, Wow! BYU! AWESOME! Believe it or not, I've been thinking about this a lot over the past couple of weeks, wondering if you've made your decision. I'm happy to hear that you're excited and that you're happy to be going where you're going.

And little Brookie is walking? No WAY!!! That is awesome! Except for, you know, the mess part :).
