Best week ever!
I finished this semester on Saturday, and have been enjoying joyous days of freedom since! I love my little girl so much! She has been super cranky the past few weeks, but ever since I have been home, she has been so happy and so sweet. We have just been having a blast playing together. She is talking like crazy. My newest favorite is when I ask her a question, she says "Ok." It is so cute. We have tried some potty training. On Tuesday, I got her to sit on her potty for two hours while watching Monsters, Inc. (I figured the only way she would sit there is if she could watch a movie.) Then she stands up and pees right next to the potty. So close! We tried again this morning. After nearly two hours, I put a diaper over the potty for her to sit on. She started freaking out when she actually needed to go, but she finally did it. We are one step closer! I doubt she will be ready by the time I start classes on Tuesday, but I figured we would try.
I have been trying to make the most of the week. I have been spending as much time with Brook as possible! I got to cash in on the massage and pedicure gift card Jeff got me for Christmas, and that was amazing. I had lunch with my Grandma yesterday. She is so cute. She loves Brookie. She took us to PF Changs, which was super yummy. Then she took me on a little shopping trip, which was awesome. She is so good to us. Today, I had to help Aaron (my bro) move his stuff out, which was an adventure. It took three car loads to get it all. He has way too much stuff for a college student haha. This week has gone way too fast. I am really not ready to go back next week. I just love being home with my girl. She is so much fun. I need to post some new pictures. I think she gets cuter everyday!!

Fast track continues!
Life is definitely on the fast track these days. I don't know where the time has gone. The semester will be over in a month. YAY! I am gearing up for my summer internship. I was accepted at the hospital in St. George and IMC. After much deliberation, I opted to go to St. George. I have been having anxiety about turning down IMC. I did not think I would actually get that position, and was hoping the decision would be really easy. But it came down to doing what's best for my family. Brook will be able to spend the summer with Nana and Papa, and Jeff will have no distractions while he goes through the Anatomy class at BYU. (Jeff applied as a visiting student at BYU this summer so he can take anatomy there.) I am really excited about the opportunity at St. George. I will get experience working in an acute rehab setting and an acute inpatient setting. I am hoping to end up in that type of setting, so I was really excited to get this opportunity. It will be hard to be apart from Jeff for that long, but we will both be super busy, so I am sure that will help.
This semester has been overwhelmingly busy, and I am not sure how I have made it this far! It has definitely been a miracle. I survived my midterms, and am completing a sleugh of projects. I am really looking forward to this semester being over, as it has been and will be the hardest semester of the program!
Brook is growing up so fast. She is picking up words right and left. She has a new best friend: Our friends' dog Sofie. Brook loves to play with her! We are dog-sitting this week, and Brook could not wait for Sofie to be freed from her cage so she could play. She kept saying "Tofie out." It is so fun watch Brook chase Sofie and wait for Sofie to chase her. She just giggles the whole time. We have had some struggles with the toddler bed transition. Brook has ended up in our bed more often than not. Last night, we finally locked her in her room, and after crying for a while, she fell asleep and stayed in her bed all night. Hopefully we keep this up!
Jeff is spending lots of time with Brook these days. She adores him. He is gearing up for a challenging summer. He will be taking chemistry in the first block and anatomy in the second block. I wish him luck in those endeavors! He has been working really hard to get to this point and to get ready to apply to the nursing program. (He will hopefully apply in a year) He has been a great support so I can get the work done that I need to for school.

If there are any readers left..haha
So it's been a while since I have had time to post. A lot has happened. A couple of months ago, Jeff tragically lost one of his best friends. He was heartbroken. He was one of Jeff's mission companions, and they had kept in close contact ever since. It was a really tough time for him, I think he is moving on. He doesn't talk about it much. Then, a month ago, my Grandma passed away. She was 81, but her death was unexpected. She had some sort of cold that she did not seem to worried about, but she succumbed to it. Her funeral was amazing. She is a woman I truely admire. She dedicated her life to raising 12 kids, all of whom felt deeply of her love. She was very selfless, and just all around amazing. I hope I can be that kind of mother.
We have also had some great things happening as well. We spent time with both of our families over the Christmas break. I soaked up all the Brookie time I could get while on the break. I loved it. Jeff and I have both started a new semester. It has been so busy! (Hence the practically dead blog.) I have 5 classes and 3 clients I am working with this semester. I also grade quizzes for a class of 150 every other week. It really does not leave much free time. Now, I also have to start working on my thesis. I hope I survive! Jeff is being a great support. He is juggling his 4 classes and taking care of Brook in his spare time. She adores her daddy. He also just finished a big side job. He is workin hard! We also bought Brook a toddler bed last week. So far, it has gone beetter than I anticipated. It hasn't been perfect, but overall, she is so good about sleeping in her bed. I think she really likes it. Then, when she wakes up in the mornings and after naps, she just comes running out, and it's a cute surprise. We figured we better do this before attempting the potty training, which should be coming in a few months. Sorry I don't have more to say. I hope you all are doing well!!
